The past, the present, the future

T.CON looks back on five exciting days at this year's Hannover Messe. Many conversations confirmed that our software portfolio is perfect to equip our customers for the future.

The central theme for this year’s Hannover Messe was “Integrated Industry – Industrial Intelligence”. Industry’s leading trade show brought together a total of 6,500 businesses from 75 countries.  They presented innovations for diverse industrial sectors, e.g. energy technology, automation and robotics, drive technology, industrial software.

There was a particular focus on technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning. These technologies are revolutionizing production, optimizing machine runtimes and predicting errors and faults in advance. Their huge potential for production industries is awakening a lot of interest.

Visitors to the T.CON booth this year homed in on particularly on our chatbot, MARVIN. The award-winning digital assistant for maintenance tasks was the key attraction at this year’s Hannover Messe, giving an insight into the opportunities and requirements for production in the future. Find out more about what MARVIN can do and how he makes life easier for you and your colleagues in your daily work.

MARVIN wasn’t alone, though: the T.CON ENTERPRISE LOGBOOK also encountered considerable interest among our visitors. It provides a central tool for all participants who rely, directly or indirectly, on information from production. ENTERPRISE LOGBOOK is based on the shift protocol and facilitates communication between production output, shift leaders and machine operators, guaranteeing that they all have the same information.

As the digital transformation continues, MES is acquiring key significance for many businesses.  Our own T.CON Manufacturing Execution System MES CAT makes your production workflows transparent, facilitates continuous process optimization and allows you to identify weak points.

The past, the present, the future: In the past, employees were often not actively involved in the digitalization process, even though their process knowledge and qualifications make them enablers for successful implementation of automation. Over the years, however, that has changed. For successful projects, the big picture view is now essential, taking people, processes and systems equally into account.

The future is already here: Technologies such as AI and machine learning are already in use in modern production operations. It’s no longer possible to imagine production without them: They create competitive advantages and increase productivity and efficiency in the business.
