“Bayerns Best 50”: T.CON wins Bavarian regional award for expansion

T.CON GmbH & Co. KG has made a repeat appearance on the “BAVARIA’S BEST 50” list of fastest-growing SMEs in Bavaria. The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs assessed more than 2000 companies for the award.

Places on the list are reserved for SMEs and owner-operated companies who have exhibited above-average growth in both workforce and profits over the previous five years.

Secure high-tech jobs for regional talent

“An important ingredient in T.CON’s recipe for success is that we develop local talent from Lower Bavaria into IT specialists. We offer them great jobs with excellent job security”, says Eva Heuer, Member of the Board, who is responsible for T.CON's human resources. “Our position on the BAVARIA’S BEST 50 list is real proof of how successful this strategy has been. We are proud of being listed among Bavaria’s fifty most dynamic enterprises.”

To provide some background to the award: all the companies are owner-operated enterprises with headquarters in Bavaria. To earn their place on the list, they must have operated profitably, grown sustainably and steadily created new workplaces throughout the last few years.

All the winning companies also place particular emphasis on in-company training – which is central to entrepreneurial growth and sustainable economic success.

T.CON’s strategy borne out by repeat award

This isn’t the first time T.CON has been included on the list: the SAP experts also earned a place in 2016. “Getting into the top fifty for a second time clearly demonstrates how consistently we have been pursuing our expansion targets and confirms the success of our regional recruitment strategy”, says Eva Heuer. “We create opportunities for talented young Bavarians to embark on an exciting high-tech career path in their own home state, a place where they can work on exciting international projects without having to leave behind their roots.”

The Covid-19 pandemic ruled out the usual ceremony for the 2020 “BAVARIA’S BEST 50” awards – generally the awards are presented personally by representatives from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy. Although the physical ceremony could not take place, there was no question of abandoning the awards. Indeed, the Ministry explained in a statement that “we felt these challenging times made it particularly important this year to highlight entrepreneurial role models, and therefore wanted to keep up the tradition of an annual awards ceremony. Entrepreneurs who identify new opportunities for growth and employment and systematically exploit their potential are the backbone of our economy. These people, who embody the entrepreneurial spirit, take responsibility for economic development and create the jobs that underpin our high standards of living in Bavaria.”
