Production key figures at a glance

Production workflows could have been improved and are even more efficient now. The software is integrated seamlessly into the central SAP ERP system. A detailed analysis of latest key figures in production is possible at any time with the smooth exchange of data between all applications. At the same time SAP production orders are immediately sent to every machine so that there is no delay and production can be started. Our MES solution is installed locally; this increases the availability of machines.
Koehler is ready for Industry 4.0
Koehler implemented MES CAT all over the company and created an integrated solution for their production data acquisition. Production orders and any other goods movements are confirmed in real time and can be analysed immediately. In the context of Industry 4.0, they are working on follow-up projects in order to digitalise production more and more. All relevant machine data are analysed in real time in MES CAT and help production staff make decisions on solid figures. Even during production, production staff can intervene if necessary with the focus on reducing optimization times. With the application “Predictive Quality”, production can be run in compliance with quality specifications. Quality can be improved and scrap quantities reduced because all specifications can easily be checked and monitored.
More transparent production processes and cost analyses across all production steps
Due to the diversity of the products manufactured, the production area at Rapunzel is characterized by many different processes. A Manufacturing Execution System (MES) should digitally map this part of the value creation. Controlling could thus also work with data from production in SAP. Production and logistics processes could be further optimized. "We had the goal of making our production processes more transparent and enabling cost analyses across all production steps," says Roth.
Steinbeis Papier is one of the leading manufacturers in the paper recycling industry in Europe. For many years, they have been using SAP ERP and SAP APO for their supply chain. In 2015, T.CON’s TRIM SUITE was integrated and replaced the outdated solutions for trim optimization and an external MES system. The old SAP ERP ECC 6.0-based system landscape was upgraded to SAP S/4HANA 1809. The Swiss-based Perlen Packaging group, a subsidiary of Chemie + Papier Holding AG (CPH), offers a comprehensive range of PVC mono films and coated PVdC barrier films for the pharmaceutical industry to customers worldwide. It is one of the three leading suppliers in this field worldwide. The system conversion from SAP ERP to SAP S/4HANA version 1709 was carried out in a single step and was completed within just seven months. This single-step approach was executed at all of the company’s global locations and it enabled significant time and cost savings with only one necessary downtime.
After a technical system conversion from SAP ERP to SAP S/4HANA (version 1909), Flottweg SE is well prepared for the future. The company can now implement rollouts, new process requirements and innovations based on the latest SAP technologies - a real added value. The project, which was largely carried out remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was completed thanks to the trusting cooperation with the IT partner T.CON GmbH & Co. KG.
