“The certification guarantees that MES CAT can be seamlessly integrated into SAP ERP, based on SAP technology”, explains Thomas Blöchl, a manager at T.CON GmbH & Co. KG. “For our customers, this certificate means investment security. It tells them that our software will continue to work seamlessly with future SAP releases.”
The certification also testifies that deciding to install MES CAT saves on IT budgets, since MES CAT can be implemented easily on top of any arbitrary SAP NetWeaver installation. Implementation projects can be completed quickly thanks to the harmonized technical foundation. Furthermore, T.CON delivers MES CAT with various pre-set configurations saved under “SAP Business Configuration Sets”.
In order to ensure that MES CAT customers will always be able to benefit from seamless SAP integration, T.CON renews the product certification in a two year cycle. The first release of MES CAT was certified in 2013; the next version in 2015. T.CON GmbH & Co. KG received the latest Integration Certification for the MES software from SAP in July 2017. All releases of MES CAT since the then certified version, 5.0, are guaranteed to run on SAP HANA databases.
With its new, certified Release 5.1, T.CON has developed its MES software in a number of directions. One area where MES CAT 5.1 differs from its predecessors is its data analysis. A new addition is full SAP Fiori Launchpad integration for MES CAT functions. Processes from MES CAT can now be seamlessly embedded in SAP S/4HANA and SAP EWM. “Our CAT analytics solutions, based on the latest SAP frontend technologies such as SAP Fiori, SAP Lumira or SAPUI5, give users insights into production – in real time”, adds Andreas Buchmeier, Product Lead MES CAT at T.CON GmbH & Co. KG.
Other new features include real-time display of production facility plans and various production monitoring functions. There are new options for drawing up rapid, flexible analyses and ad-hoc reports directly in the MES. T.CON is also now offering integration of its Enterprise Logbook in the MES. Enterprise Logbook is a digital shift log developed by T.CON. Thanks to this new integration feature, events in production, such as non-conformities, are directly shared into all levels of production, via the MES.
In a nutshell: This re-certification means that MES CAT 5.1 offers even more ways to configure production, based on creating value and improving customer satisfaction with higher quality and reliable delivery.
