T.CON and t.serv donate 74,391.71 euros to help flood victims

Plattling, June 26, 2013

As part of a concerted effort, IT service provider and SAP developer T.CON GmbH & Co. KG and its partner company t.serv AG, both headquartered in Plattling, recently donated an impressive total of 74,391.71 euros to help flood victims in Germany.

“There’s no two ways about it. It was the right thing to do when you think of the enormous damage that the flood left in its wake in Lower Bavaria,” said Mr. Fuchs, General Manager of T.CON GmbH & Co. KG, and Michael Gulde, t.serv Management Board. “Every single member of our staff agreed that we had to help those affected as quickly as possible and without any red tape getting in the way.”

The decision was followed by three steps that made an important contribution to the ongoing relief efforts, starting with an immediate drive to get technical assistance to flood victims in the form of backup generators, pumps, wet-dry vacuums, pressure washers,  fans, and drying equipment. Once this urgent step was complete, the company’s employees and management donated money from their own pocket, with T.CON and t.serv matching the total donation amount. Finally, T.CON and t.serv held an internal “fundraiser” day in which every T.CON and t.serv team member donated a paid vacation day, with the companies donating all revenue obtained from the services provided that day to further increase the donated amount.   T.CON and t.serv will give the funds to the Deggendorf Rotary Hilfswerk society, which will then distribute them in a targeted manner to those affected by the floods.
